Modern education increasingly combines technical and humanities knowledge, creating a space for the development of critical thinking, creativity, and analytical skills. One example of such synergy is the STEM4HUMANITIES Hub<\/strong><\/a>, designed to help humanities students master the basic principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and learn how to apply them in their own fields.<\/p>

The platform has sparked considerable interest among humanities students. At Lviv University alone, more than fifteen students registered and actively participated in the program.<\/p>

Course Content and Features<\/strong><\/p>

After registering on the platform, students gain access to learning modules covering topics in natural sciences, mathematics, engineering, and digital literacy. The materials are presented in an accessible and interactive format \u2014 video lectures, quizzes, practical assignments, and discussion forums.<\/p>

A distinctive feature of the course is the integration of STEM approaches into humanities disciplines, including history, culture, linguistics, and the social sciences. This allows students to see how science and technology influence modern society and how the humanities can benefit from STEM tools in their own research.<\/p>

Learning Format<\/strong><\/p>

The course is delivered entirely online, allowing students to study at their own pace and convenience. Participants watch lectures, take part in virtual seminars, exchange ideas on discussion forums, and complete project-based tasks. This flexibility fosters independence and responsibility, while also developing teamwork skills in a digital environment.<\/p>

Mariya Mandziuk<\/em><\/strong>, a third-year student of the Faculty of Philology:<\/p>

\u00abThrough the STEM for Humanities program, I learned how to apply STEM technologies in language studies, which helped me deepen and enhance my linguistic research. The platform offered not only theoretical insights but also practical experience with empirical methods, natural language analysis tools, and statistical programs that can strengthen any linguistic study<\/em>.\u00bb<\/p>

Tetyana Tsizdyn<\/em><\/strong>, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Philology:<\/p>

\u00abThe STEM course was both interesting and inspiring. I especially enjoyed the topics about future technologies and innovative ideas. The course gave me motivation to grow and see science as a path to creativity.<\/em>\u00bb<\/p>

Alina Yurkiv<\/em><\/strong>, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Philology:<\/p>

\u00abThe STEM project was an exciting experience and a source of new knowledge. I particularly liked the modules on artificial intelligence and scientific experiments. Participating in the program showed me that learning can be both creative and practical. I have already tried applying some of the MOOC tools in my own research<\/em>.\u00bb<\/p>

Educational Value<\/strong><\/p>

Upon completing the course, students not only acquire basic technical competences but also strengthen their ability for systems thinking, analytical reasoning, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This experience helps them better understand the role of technology within the humanities and apply innovative approaches in their future professional activities.<\/p>
