3rd Transnational Project Meeting in Wroclaw, Poland

Wrocław University of Science and Technology successfully hosted the third Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) of the STEM4Humanities project on 15-16 May 2025, bringing together consortium partners from across Europe to advance the project’s mission of bridging STEM and humanities education.
The two-day meeting provided an essential platform for partners to coordinate ongoing work packages, assess project progress, and plan upcoming activities within the framework of Work Package 4.1. Representatives from all partner institutions gathered at Wrocław Tech’s campus to engage in intensive collaborative sessions focused on advancing the project’s key deliverables.
Productive Working Sessions
The meeting agenda was structured to maximize productivity and ensure comprehensive coverage of all project components. Day one featured focused discussions on multiple work packages, including the development of training materials, online course implementation, and strategic planning for the e-work-based learning phase. Partners engaged in detailed deliberations regarding project timelines, handbook development and translations, and dissemination strategies to ensure broad impact.
The second day concentrated on project management, quality assurance, and evaluation processes, providing partners with an opportunity to review achievements and align on next steps. The collaborative atmosphere fostered productive exchanges that will guide the project through its upcoming phases.
Cultural Immersion and Networking
Beyond the formal working sessions, the TPM offered valuable opportunities for cultural exchange and team building. Partners participated in a guided walking tour of Wrocław’s historic city center, exploring the architectural heritage and rich history of one of Poland’s most vibrant cities. The tour provided delegates with insights into the local culture and created informal networking opportunities that strengthened consortium relationships.
A particular highlight was the meeting with the Dean of the Faculty of Management, who welcomed the international delegation. In a gesture celebrating Polish cultural heritage, all meeting participants were presented with distinctive ceramic items from Bolesławiec, a city renowned for its traditional pottery craftsmanship that has been recognized as part of Poland’s cultural legacy. These meaningful gifts served as tangible reminders of the partnership’s collaborative spirit and Poland’s artistic traditions.
Building Momentum
The evening social dinner provided an ideal setting for partners to continue conversations in a relaxed atmosphere, further cementing the collaborative bonds essential for successful international project implementation. These informal interactions complement the formal meeting structure and contribute significantly to building trust and understanding among team members from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds.
The Wrocław TPM demonstrated the continued commitment of all consortium partners to the STEM4Humanities vision of creating innovative educational pathways that connect STEM expertise with humanities perspectives. With clear action points established and strengthened partnerships, the project moves forward with renewed energy toward achieving its ambitious goals of transforming interdisciplinary education across Europe.
